I am not sure they are "new" but it is a good bet that my grandpa never had one. With the size of cameras getting smaller and being better in quality than just a few years ago, I think this is a good Idea. I do not own one and cannot recommend a manufacturer. When I first came across them online I really like the concept. You will always have an involuntarily centered shot with the camera by aiming your bow or firearm at your target during the most intense seconds of the hunt without needing a buddy or having a stationary camera or use with them and have a second angle for your footage stock. A down the barrel view of what you see as the hunter could add a more personal feel to hunting videos. If I get one I will be sure to share what I think and post a link to videos from it so you can judge for yourself.

I am hoping this upcoming turkey season I will be trying a lipstick camera that will mount on my bow.......I just actually got back from the Michigan and tried the camera on my snow mobile helmet and it made for some awesome "on trail" action!  Will let everyone know how it turns out!
