I’ll have to say great hunting and great hospitality being up in Alberta with www.huntingalberta.com. First time getting out the truck at camp from the airport, I will not forget how the air was so dry and still. Welcomed to the lodge with a delicious dinner from the cooks, we geared up and headed out start our Black Bear hunting adventure. The whole entire week we saw lots of bears, many of them being during mid day. Harvesting both our limits of two black bears and we were hoping we maybe could get our self a chance to harvesting a wolf, which are travel these parts. Every time we traveled to our stand to bow hunt we seen moose, elk, whitetails and muleys. The highlight our hunt was coming within 20 yards of a 6 foot plus 300 pound black bear which was filmed while walk down a cut line to our stand. Wish I could tell you what was going through my head at time when it was walking towards me starring me down. I was told to stand your ground and do not run if coming in contact with a bear. What I learned about Alberta is that there is a big population of big game animals and that one could harvest many big game species and in one hunting trip during the fall season. I cant wait to try my hands at some of there whitetail hunting. They have what some hunters dream for, heavy antlers and big bodies.
